ACME is the architectural firm that has designed Shoreline. The scalloped front mimics the undulating waves it views from its position at the edge of the coastline. Their involvement is also linked to the renovations of the Folkestone Harbour Station and of the soon-to-be completed square at the base of the historic Leas Lift, one of only 2 remaining Victorian water lifts in the world.

There has been huge investment into Folkestone over the past 20 years. A lot has changed around the harbour area to make it one of the top tourist destinations in Kent for its food, drink and entertainment throughout the year.
