The Folkestone Triennial is an important event in the British contemporary art calendar and the town now has the UK’s largest collection of outdoor contemporary sculpture. Alongside this, there is a broad range of cultural programming spanning music, art, film, and theatre taking place across the town.

Art is everywhere in Folkestone thanks to this international public art festival that takes place every three years, showcasing a diverse range of contemporary artworks in public spaces throughout the town. From thought-provoking installations to immersive experiences, Folkestone Triennial presents a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge art in a stunning coastal setting.

Many of the artworks remain in Folkestone and the town now proudly boasts the largest collection of public contemporary art in the UK with over 90 site specific works on show across town from leading artists including Anthony Gormley, Tracey Emin, Gilbert & George and Yoko Ono.
